Back to Basics Marketing

Consistency is Key!
Let’s get back to basics and plan some old fashioned marketing, it still works!
Pick some contacts and plan to contact them every month for a year.
How Do I Start?
1. Select a number of companies you would like to target for the next year ( it can be as little as 20 or as many as you like)
2. Select an easy to use database program
3. Input the names, contact names, addresses, phone, fax and e-mail and you’re ready to begin
4. Choose a start date
5. Plan your monthly theme and how you will contact them. ( Example: January- Winter theme- email, February Valentines Theme-Fax, March- St. Patrick Theme-Postcard, April- Spring visit, you get the idea…) Plan to track which media is providing the most leads.

6. Plan 12 months worth of snappy ad copy directed at the audience you chose.
7. Now…if you don’t have time to complete your objectives each month, assign someone to follow through on your plan. You will see results if you plan for a year, complete something every month, have creative copy and make changes as needed.

Kathy,
This a great post – I have been working on 10 to 20 old (lost) customers every month doing this.
