Do You STAND OUT In A Crowd?

How can you be “different” from your competion? What is your niche, forte, specialty? If you can’t say it in …5 seconds…you need to work on it today! A tagline says a thousand words.

I am so tired (as I’ve read and said in other articles) of seeing, hearing or viewing an ad claiming to have “the best quality”, “best service”, blah blah blah…Why are you different?

What do you do to make yourself STAND OUT from the rest? Long ago I niched my business to the Downriver market. What’s Downriver? If you’re not from South East Michigan you probably would not know Downriver since it is not on any map, more than it is a “state of mind” down the river south of Detroit. But there is plenty of “Downriver” business and I know how to market around “these parts”. I am unique because I know what works and get results for businesses in my neighborhood.

Businesses may recognize my binocular logo referring to “in-sight” or the exclaimation point I use, because I may exhibit a bit of excitment when talking about marketing. Most of my referals come from clients that recognize Market Insights as a good company to talk with when marketing Downriver just because every ad I do, every talk I give, consistently helps my firm stand out from the others since it is termed “for Better Business Ideas”. I wanted to be recognized as the “go to” marketing company Downriver and to be the solution for those clients who wanted “better business ideas”.

You know who tagged “I’m loving it”. What does it mean? It means you remembered it! Do you do a double take when an electrician states his company “We will check your shorts”, of course it’s memorable. How about an accounting firm that “Makes taxes less taxing” simple but different. How about a cleaning company that states “We don’t cut corners we clean them!” It says a lot, very creatively. Maybe a rhyme might work, for example “Take your wreck to Cartek”. In our area there is a local dentist playing on a “Choppers” theme for every occassion, senior choppers, freedom choppers, scary choppers, you name it…. they have stood out Downriver by branding their choppers theme.

Find your “niche” and promote why you are the “go to” firm for that specialty. Make it memorable and stand out in a crowd!
