When I opened my store seven years ago, I was fairly fresh out of college with a degree in Marketing & Advertising. Putting that knowledge to work wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. I spent hours putting together ads and printing them out. Then there was the folding, stuffing envelopes, labeling the envelopes, stamping them….yikes.
Email marketing has saved my corporation hundreds of dollars in postage, envelopes, paper, and ink. Those dollars may now be spent in newspaper print ads. I’ve gone from spending hundreds of dollars to $25 per month and can send an unlimited number of emails to my customers. I collect email addresses at my store and through my website by including a link for customers to join the list and subscribe to my newsletter.
