Business owners are constantly looking for new ways to increase their search rankings, You Tube can help with. Along with blogging, tweaking your web site, updating directory listings and posting to social sites, creating your You Tube channel and posting videos can also help get you found much more often.
To start, I would search your business hometown. For my business that is Trenton Michigan and see what pops up. Then you should also search your business category and see who is ranking the best so you know how to gauge your success in a few months.
Create your You Tube account easily by using your existing Google account and grab your unique URL (ie:youtube.com/ABCCompany). Submit your summary, social media links and cover and profile pictures right away.
Then you need to consider what type of video you will be creating. You can make videos with client testimonials, share tips about your business, show how you can help your clients, do a tour of your facility, upload your commercial, video a project or event in action, or share other videos of tips that could help your clients.
The next step is creating a script and producing the video. You can do this easily on your phone, video camera and video software or hire a pro to do it for you.
Once you are ready to upload your video, make sure to check the proper categories and tags while it is processing.
Listing keywords in the title of your video is important and listing your web site address (use http://) in the first sentance of the video description are also important. Then describing your video and using the keyword features on your channel will also help your results.
The more videos you create the better your opportunities to rank. I suggest creating playlists for your company profile, for my business I have playlists for Market Insights videos, Client Videos, Community Videos and Trenton Business Association videos.
Copy the video URL’s once you uploaded your video and use them to share on them on your social media!
